Our Spring Term topic is 'Raining Rainbows' and our Summer Term topic is 'Summer Celebrations'.

 

We will be exploring different environments, developing our communication skills and learning how we can express ourselves in a range of different ways. As part of our curriculum we will be doing lots of outdoor learning and play, whatever the weather!
 

To support this, please could you send in the following for your child, with each item clearly marked with their name. We encourage the children to be as independent as possible and it is very helpful to have all items of clothing clearly labelled with names to ensure that personal belongings do not get lost!

  • A full change of clothes, including underwear and socks

  • Shorts and a t-shirt (suitable for PE or water play activities)

  • Sun hat or cap

  • Sun cream

  • Towel

  • Waterproof trousers

  • Waterproof coat

  • Wellies

We have lots of access to learning provisions outside of the classroom. These include:

  • Sensory Zone on Monday.

  • PE and Forest School on Tuesday.

  • Trampoline on Wednesday.

  • Ball Pool and PE on Thursday.

  • Sensory Room and Sensory courtyard on Friday.

Ambitious capable learners who can engage with a wide range of activities. We are learning that we can try new things and persevere with activities that we find difficult or challenging. We are learning to celebrate our achievements and reflect on our learning.

Ethically informed citizens who can engage and interact with others. We are developing our turn taking and sharing skills with others. We are learning about how the choices we make can impact on ourselves and those around us.

Enterprising and creative contributors who can express ourselves in different ways. We are learning to communicate using gestures, signs, photos, symbols and spoken words. We are learning that we can communicate in a range of contexts.

Healthy confident individuals who are developing independence and awareness with our personal care and self-help skills. We are learning that we can come to adults for comfort, reassurance or to ask for help. We are learning about our emotions and what we can do when we feel happy, sad or frustrated.
